Paul has been involved with the Cambridge Hi-tech scene since the 1980's starting out as a software engineer and compiler writer for the early 8-bit micros of the day. He has been instrumental in building up a series of start up companies through to commercial success and stock market listing.
Paul holds an MA in Natural Sciences and Diploma in Computer Science from Emmanuel College, Cambridge, and is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Chair of the Cambridge Astronomical Assoiciation.

Richard has over ten years' experience in the technology sector in Cambridge. Among other things he has product managed major web applications, written VC-1 and WMA decoders from scratch, implemented Windows Media DRM and MMS on embedded devices, designed and built prototype STBs from scratch, worked on FPGA-based H.264 decode accelerators, written the user-interface software for tablets, and worked on Android ports to new architectures.
Richard holds an MA and PhD in Computer Science from, and is a bye-fellow of, Selwyn College, Cambridge. His research interests include compilers, programming languages, operating systems and user interface design.

John has a MA in Computer Science from Pembroke College, Cambridge and has many years experience developing video codecs and IPTV systems on x86 and TI 6000-series DSPs and Davinci chips. He has written H.264 decoders and MPEG-4 part 2 encoders and decoders.
